To Catch a Unicorn, Part I

In my line of work, it can often feel like recruiting exceptional leaders is like hunting for unicorns. We recently announced that we're captured our first unicorn :-) The Founding Principal role is one that can define how the school grows over time. In our first hire we're making a statement. We have brought in an exceptional academic leader with a deep mastery and knowledge of project learning and the flipped learning model; a true unicorn.

Jessi Stokes brings 10 years of experience in STEM instruction and leadership to our team. She has exceptional experience in building high-performing, student-centered programs through designing curriculum, coaching teachers, and developing unique programs.

For the last 7 years, Jessi has helped develop the innovative project learning model at Research Triangle High School. She also built and led the school's First-Year Program, enabling students to experience a joyful and successful transition from middle school to high school. We care deeply about helping our Founding Class experience that same level of success. Jessi is ready to expand her impact at CCHS, and we couldn't be more grateful that she is joining our team.
Our leadership team and board are excited to welcome Jessi to the team. She'll begin working full-time for the team in January.

You can get the chance to meet Jessi at one of our upcoming open houses (November 17th and December 9th). Please consider RSVP'ing on our website (carolinacollegiate.org)

Welcome, Jessi! We are incredibly excited about this next step in CCHS's founding story.
